Edge banding is an aesthetic detail that allows furniture to have a more stylish look while also being more durable and long-lasting. If we define it in a very broad context, we can say that edge bands, which are produced to prevent the raw edges of furniture from being exposed, are a type of coating product.

Edge bands, which can be preferred in furniture production in accordance with the model, color, pattern and texture of the furniture, prevent the raw edges of the furniture from being left open and thus the furniture gains a holistic design approach both in itself and at the point where it is connected to the space. Unprocessed edges create a sense of visual and tactile incompleteness. Designed to prevent this feeling, edge bands cover the edges of furniture produced with particle board or MDF, making them more resistant to factors such as impact, yellowing and moisture, thus allowing for functional perfection.
